Detects a failed subscription payment via the payment gateway's webhook and sends an immediate notice with a direct card-update link.

Retries the charge automatically per the platform's dunning schedule after the card is updated.

If unresolved after 2 attempts, escalates with a personal message before the subscription lapses, per the dunning schedule's escalation step.

Confirms successful payment and continued subscription , written to the subscription record.
