How it works

  1. Agent receives a price-match question referencing a specific competitor price.
  2. Checks it against the store's published price-match policy and margin floor, stored in the pricing engine's rules table.
  3. Applies the match via a discount code written to the cart, or explains transparently why it doesn't qualify.
  4. Completes the purchase if matched; frequently-cited competitors are logged to the CRM for pricing/merchandising awareness.
